Experience Grassroots Social Impact

On your tour you will hear the term “social impact”, but what does that really mean? For us, social impact is making sure that we have a positive impact on the communities we live and work in, as well as the amazing places we explore with our tours. We believe that truly experiencing a place “like a local” means having meaningful engagement that supports local, community-based organizations and learning about their causes and the people making them happen. Just as we carefully select the places you’ll visit and the food you’ll try, we have also carefully selected our social impact partners to showcase the amazing work being done in our communities.

Fabulous Lower East Side Food Tour!

Best food tour ever . Stoped at old landmark food establishments in Little Italy and Chinatown. . Our tour guide ,Seth, was great ! He was funny and shared a lot of history with us ! You have to ask him how Magherita pizza got its name !! The food portions on this tour are very generous ! Bet we gained 5 pounds ! But it’s all good as we walked it off later in Chinatown! Take this tour !!! You won’t be disappointed! Thanks Seth and Like a Local Tours !!! Also a shout out to Mille Nonne! Amazing Italian food in the Essex market !

Food, history - a well rounded tour

Delicoius! Loved this tour. So much food and learning. Recommend this way to visit these neighborhoods. Expereinced some newer spots and a lot of historic restaurants I had been reading about for years. Make sure you don't eat before, it's a lot of food.

LES food tour - excellent experience!

It was a very, very rainy day, but Seth made the tour fun and tasty! And he was skilled at finding scaffolding where our group could shake off the water and enjoy the delicious tastes. It was a great way to learn about new neighborhoods I had not experienced before. Essex Market was a highlight. Would highly recommend!
