According to NY Magazine: The Best Pizza in the World Can Be Found in One Square Mile of Williamsburg
On December 5, Grub Street / New York Magazine published a great article as part of their annual Reasons to Love New York issue, titled The Best Pizza in the World Can Be Found in One Square Mile of Williamsburg.
“The best pizza neighborhood in New York is actually Williamsburg, where excellent pizzerias are as concentrated as a heavily reduced tomato sauce. The Williamsburg Pizza Corridor provides Sicilian-ish pieces topped with barbecue chicken, nuevo New York slices and classic New York slices, grandma pies of the Long Island school, Detroit style with frico crust, and, as if that werenβt enough, Roman squares. Itβs not just that thereβs so much good pizza so close together but that it spans so many pizza genres.”
We just had our Like A Local Tours holiday party and there was much discussion around NY pizza! Our resident pizza expert, tour guide Justin Van Voorhis, says his favorite is a spot that’s featured on our delicious Lower East Side Food Tour: Nolita Pizza. He recommends what they call the Regina Napoletana. https://nolitapizzanyc.com/
