Don’t Hibernate, Celebrate! Why Winter is the BEST Time for a NYC Food Tour

The temperatures are dropping, the city is sparkling, and while many might be dreaming of cozying up indoors, we at Like A Local Tours have a secret: winter in NYC is an absolutely magical time for a food tour! Forget hibernating; this is the season to indulge, explore, and discover the hidden culinary gems that make New York truly special.
Sure, summer rooftop bars and al fresco dining have their charm, but winter offers a unique opportunity to experience the city’s vibrant food scene in a whole new light. Think warm drinks, comforting bites, and intimate indoor settings – all without the sweltering heat and massive crowds.
Here’s why you should ditch the winter blues and join us for an unforgettable foodie adventure:

“The tour at industry city was awesome. We learned about the history of the old fabric and how they transform it into what it is today. They showed us also the plan for the future. We also visited the chocolate factory and tasted the best chocolate in New York City, and that is a must do! The tour guide was awesome. I would highly recommend this tour.”

“We did the private Brooklyn Graffiti Workshop and Street Art Tour. We were two moms and our almost 16 yr old sons. It was really interesting learning all of the history, significance, techniques, and politics of the street pieces. Then we got to paint! Our artists was Mims and he was fantastic! We got to choose what to paint and we decided on our dogs. After some lessons on spray painting technique, we showed him the pic we wanted to paint and the way he helped us create was unreal!! He did the outline, we did some highlights, then he finished it off. We loved it. Making 15 year old boys happy is nearly impossible but we did it!”
